Nolvadex®, is the trade name for the drug tamoxifen citrate, it is a non-steroidal agent that demonstrates potent anti-estrogenic properties. The drug is technically an estrogen agonist/antagonist, which competitively binds to estrogen receptors in various target tissues.

Effects of Nolvadex (Tamoxifen) in bodybuilding. Tamoxifen is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) with both estrogen agonist and antagonist properties. For the androgenic anabolic steroid users, one of the desired effects is in the prevention of gynecomastia. Tamoxifen also reduces other estrogenic side effects like water retention and blood pressure but not significantly.

Okay, read this carefully pa902.....every 1 mL of the solution you have has 20 mg of tamoxifen citrate. Tamoxifen citrate is not Nolva though, so the conversion of 20 mg of tamoxifen citrate to 14 mg of nolva should be used, therefore: 1.0 mL of tamoxifen citrate = 14 mg of tamoxifen or nolva 1.5 = 21 2.0 = 28 2.5 = 35 3.0 = 42 3.5 = 49 4.0 = 56

Natural bodybuilders don’t use tamoxifen, but hard core bodybuilders after a heavy cycle to maintain gains, not to gain musclemass. A study published in the Journal of Endocrinology (3) showed that long term tamoxifen use increased serum testosterone levels by 50% which is certainly a healthy increase.

Tamoxifen dosage used in bodybuilding Nolvadex is typically taken at 40mg per day for the first 2 weeks of a PCT, and then reduced to 20mg daily for the final 2 weeks. Despite this, PCT is not something that is 'one size fits all' and Tamoxifen might not be the right choice for everyone. Negatives Of Tamoxifen Use

It's believed that Tamoxifen Citrate can help athletes train harder; without damaging their muscles and helping speed up recovery. The opposite is true for bodybuilders because muscle damage from strength training is essential for muscle growth. Taking Nolvadex can actually reduce the muscle-building effects of strength training.

In bodybuilding, Nolvadex (Tamoxifen Citrate) is used as both an anabolic steroid cycle ancillary drug and as recovery or as a post anabolic steroid cycle therapy drug. Nolvadex is an oral anti-estrogen/estrogen antagonist prescription drug. Nolvadex is commonly referred to as an anti-estrogen, but technically it is more of an estrogen antagonist.

Train like a bodybuilder: If you're looking to maximize muscle size, target 8-12 reps per set (on average) and choose multijoint movements like the bench press, squat, overhead press, bent-over row, and deadlift, which recruit more total muscle mass than single-joint moves, thus allowing you to lift heavier weights.
